Fall is Here

Last Week in EnvOE 9 We:

  • Did cooperative games outside.  Worked with each other to play Disc Golf and develop a rules system that worked for our class.
  • Investigated Biological Diversity.  Read a SHORT article, answered a few questions, handed it in.  These have been assessed and results are in PowerSchool.
Coming Up:
  • The weather is changing.  We will still go outside.  Please dress appropriately.
  • Avalanche Canada will be doing an Avalanche Safety talk with us on Thursday.

Happy Fall Break!

In EnvOE 9 we have been working on:

  • The concept of Climate Change.  We watched, made observations from and completed an assignment on the documentary Six Degrees Could Change the World
  • Have you completed your Keep our School Beautiful Poster yet?

Coming up in EnvOE 9:

  • OUTDOOR WINTER ACTIVITY.  Winter is coming.  Be ready.

Have a Fun & Safe Fall Break.
GO OUTSIDE!😊

Sunday, October 6, 2019

In EnvOE 9 we have been working on:

  • Cooperative games, such as Volcanos and Craters.  Why do we need to work cooperatively for outdoor pursuits and activities?
  • Studying the idea of Climate Change.
  • Watched Six Degrees Could Change the World and completed an assignment.  Noted that we did not need our personal technology for this kind of study.
  • Discussed how to dress appropriately for different types of weather and activities.

Coming Up:
  • More cooperative games.
  • Why planning for outdoor activity matters.
  • What are we doing to make our local environment better.
Reminder:
  • Going outside is weather dependent.  How you are dressed affects the final decision.  We ALL go outside or we ALL stay inside.
  • Is your "Keep Our School Beautiful" poster ready?
