Hi All,
Please see below for a message from Mr. Godfrey.
We will keep you posted as soon as we know, you'll know.
Take Care & Wash your hands people!!!
-Ms. Wilson

Children are naturally curious learners and there are opportunities at home to engage their learning. We have created a webpage that offers a variety of educational ideas to support literacy, numeracy and wellness at home for this week. The resources are meant as suggestions only. You may choose to use the links and activities as needed over the next few days as more long-term educational programming is considered.

Thank you,

Kevin Godfrey

The purpose of teacher blogs is to inform students and their families of day-to-day learning and activities throughout the school year.  We will continue to communicate learning opportunities and will provide links to online learning resources through these blogs.

Important information related to all school decisions will continue to be emailed to parents/guardians and can also be found on the CBE website (www.cbe.ab.ca).

WELCOME TO TERM 2!

Welcome to EnvOE 9!

In this class we will learn about the environment, how to respect it, for example LNT, how to enjoy it safely, how to work as a team, and how to prepare outdoor activity.

Last week in EnvOE 9 we did a team challenge where we made the tallest tower with straws and tape.  We then reclaimed the straws for re-use.

We reviewed how to dress for comfortable outdoor activity in the cold!
We took notes about the different layers and why cotton is a bad choice.
We started a google slide show to show we understand what good clothing choices are for different types of activities.

Coming up in EnvOE 9:  going outside to identify hazards, planning an outdoor activity, HOTTEA

Welcome back & Thanks for a Great Term

In EnvOE 9 we finished our term by studying water contamination and its consequences by watching and discussing the movie Erin Brockovich.  We talked about elements and different forms, or ions of elements and how they can behave differently.  We looked at how water can flow through an aquifer, how ground water moves, and why sanitary landfills are important.  We discussed PPM.

Have a great term 2!
